Baby… it’s still cold outside!

Believe it or not, this year was the first in a long time that I didn’t buy a new Winter coat. I tried, tested, and gazed at my reflection in every mirror from Zara to Topshop and from Free People to Timbuktu. As you can imagine, the options were endless; from trench’s and bomber’s to faux fur and floor length slouch’s. The problem was… I just never really fell head over heels in love with any of them. I don’t know about you, but when I’m shopping for a new outerwear piece to add to my Winter wardrobe, it’s definitely a matter for the heart. I don’t like to rush in too quickly; I don’t buy the first coat that I try on. What if I buy too soon in fear of not finding anything better? Then going on to fall madly, deeply, hopelessly in love with the one (coat that is). What I’m trying to say is… I have coat standards… something every girl should have (hahaaa).
In all seriousness, though… I look for something versatile; something that’s going to keep me warm and toasty without leaving me feeling restricted, hot and bothered. Something that I feel free in which also allows me to feel sophisticated.

Now that England has finally received the memo that it’s Winter (better late than never), there’s no better time to find the one (your perfect Winter coat) to brave the snow that is forecast this January/February.
Just because SS17 is hitting the stores doesn’t mean you have to dress for Spring-Summer just yet. Since January is wanting to keep one foot in Winter, why not give a brief “Hello” to the Spring in a SS17-inspired colour… BLUSH PINK! Not only will you be staying parallel with the Spring-Summer trend of pastels, you’ll also be staying wrapped-up warm in these snow-laden streets this ‘Winter‘. Shop some of my favourite outerwear pieces that are perfect for your SS17 transition wardrobe, below! You’re bound to find something you’ll love with every shade making an appearance from the pink colour spectrum.
