glitter & coffee

If you can’t wear glitter nail polish at this time of year, then when can you? I find that adding glitter to a single nail has more of a subtle impact than caking each nail with it. It’s more eye catching as it acts as an accent nail; just like adding a strong piece of artwork to one wall makes more of a beautiful statement than covering each and every wall it.

Jumpsuits are usually designed to fit a specific season, or type of occasion (casual/everyday wear, dressy/going-out), but this Racerback jumpsuit from Zara can so effortlessly be dressed, and accessorised to fit every season, and every occasion. I chose to feature a casual look for this specific shoot pairing this statement Zara piece with a cropped, grey turtle neck, and my pointed toe, croc effect slip-ons, and wide-brimmed fedora. However, I have also chose heeled eye hook, black booties, and a statement clutch to add a touch of elegance to the look for a special event which called for a more sophisticated, dressy look.

Do you have a statement piece that can be reworked for every season that plays a constant part in your 365 wardrobe? Let me know in the comments below, and tag me on Instagram (@nickielise) so that I can see your statement pieces. Enjoy! xo
